More vintage and economical, but also very practical, you can also go by bus. However, if you are in a hurry, avoid buses. But to enjoy the landscape in peace without going on foot. This is the best way. You will recognize them immediately with their digital sign which specifies the destination locations and their blue and white color.

Car rental
If you absolutely want to rent a car, you should know that apart from the rental fees, it costs up to $30 to $50 per day for parking. And the traffic jams in the city which can last for hours and hours too. So that’s not much advice!
Metros and trains
The subway is the most frequent and popular mode of transportation in New York. Taking the metro is the safest way to get to your destination quickly and safely.
The train is also a convenient means of transportation. However, it takes much longer than the metros to get to your destination.

Cycling, scootering and on foot!
Finally, know that you can also discover New York, by bike, scooter or even on foot! Rentals of all kinds can be found on almost every street corner, allowing you to visit the city without getting too tired. Because yes, let it be said, New York is big, even very big, and on foot it can quickly add up to a lot.
During my first trip to the United States, don’t forget your ESTA, we did everything on foot and I can tell you that we were very tired! On my second trip, however, I opted for partial cycling and the metro. And believe me that the distance, fatigue, price ratio is really worth it. It won’t cost you too much, and you will be able to enjoy more of the places you are going to see and above all you will be able to discover a lot more.
Because as said above, the distances, even just in the heart of Manhattan, are really great, and on foot you will waste a lot of time. Although good, Manhattan has some nice surprises in store when you wander the streets on foot.
And you, what means of transport will you use to get around during your next trip to New York?
