Located about a hundred kilometers northwest of Guilin, superb rice fields with a different appearance from one season to the next attract quite a few tourists each year. Don’t forget your camera to take a few photos.
Longmen Grottoes
Along with the Mogao and Yungang caves, those of Longmen constitute the three largest ancient sculpture sites in China. Located in Henan province, the Longmen Grottoes are among the most beautiful stone carvings in China including 2,300 caves and niches containing 2,800 inscriptions and 100,000 Buddhist statues.
Yungang Caves
Comprising 252 caves and 5,100 statues, this masterpiece of Chinese Buddhist rock art is located in Shanxi province.

Xuan Kong Si Hanging Monastery
Built on the side of a mountain, held together by scaffolding that looks flimsy, the hanging monastery of Xuan Kong Si is located 65km southeast of Datong.
Harbin Ice Sculpture Festival
This famous huge ice sculpture festival lasts for a month and starts on January 5th every year.
All the sculptors from different countries come there to participate.
The Great Buddha of Leshan
Carved into the side of one of the Leshan hills in western China, this large Buddha, 71 meters high, is the largest Buddha in the world.
The Shanghai Bund
Don’t hesitate to come and stroll around the Bund of Shanghai and admire the modern skyscrapers of Pudong, which is the 2nd largest in the world, opposite the colonial architecture.
